With support for industry-standard virtualization and cloud integration, the ControlEdge UOC can significantly reduce the need for physical hardware. It also enables standalone execution of class-based batch control without requiring a separate batch server.
How It Works
Part of Honeywell’s advanced ControlEdge family, this controller integrates firewall, control logic, and Ethernet I/O into a single compact unit. It supports ring topology for field I/O, eliminating the need for extra network switches. Engineers can develop and validate applications using the Virtual UOC locally or in the cloud, and seamlessly deploy them to physical hardware without repeating validation steps. This virtual environment also improves system uptime through fault-tolerant virtualization technology.
